The Alliance Française d’Adelaïde is an Australian not-for-profit association dedicated to the promotion of the French language and culture. It celebrated 100 years of operation in 2010.
The Alliance offers a wide range of French classes for all ages (children, high school students and adults) and all levels. You will find all sorts of courses adapted to your needs, availability and objectives. Our classes are conducted by experienced and qualified French teachers.
The Alliance is also a vibrant cultural centre and organises each year major cultural events and activities such as the French Film Festival, the French Market, cine-clubs, concerts, book launches and many other events.
The Alliance is accredited by the Ethnic Schools Board of South Australia and by the SACE Board of South Australia; it is the official examination centre for the DELF, DALF and TCF examinations (run by the French Ministry of Education) in Adelaide.

Bonjour Adelaide French Market
It’s that time of the year again… The Bonjour Adelaide French Market is upon us! When you cannot enjoy a weekend in France, there is something almost as good, right at your doorstep! So come join us at Unley Soldiers' Memorial Gardens on 18 and 19 November to experience the French way of life!
The Alliance Française d’Adelaïde is once again bringing you a bit of France, providing you with French and French-inspired gourmet food and wine, popular French music and entertainment, cooking demonstrations, children activities and much more!
The event will showcase businesses displaying their French and French-themed goods, from cheese and wine to clothes and perfume!
On Saturday 19 November, from 10am to 10pm, the City of Unley will host a spectacular double event, as the Alliance Française d'Adelaïde and Etsy Adelaide have decided to partner up. Etsy Made Local is another community market event, held on Oxford Tce, which will offer South Australian-made arts, crafts and vintage wares. Both events are free!
When: Friday 18 November 5 - 10 pm and Saturday 19 November 10 am - 10 pm.
