In Conversation with French Novelists
Meet accomplished writers Jean-François Vernay & Nicolas Fargues direct from the Sydney's Writers' Festival.
JEAN-FRANCOIS VERNAY'S first monograph, Water from the Moon: Illusion and Reality in the Works of Australian Novelist Christopher Koch (Cambria Press), came out in 2007. The translations of his latest books will be released in 2016 as A Brief Take on the Australian Novel (Wakefield Press) and The Seduction of Fiction: A Plea for Putting Emotions Back into Literary Interpretation (New York/ London: Palgrave Macmillan), as part of the Palgrave Studies in Affect Theory and Literary Criticism Series.
With a Prix Goncourt nomination in 2015 for his latest novel “Au pays du P'tit”, NICOLAS FARGUES comes stra...ight from Wellington, New Zealand, where he is the French writer in residence at Randell Cottage Writers Trust. He has written ten books, including “I was behind you”, published by Pushkin Press, London and translated into fifteen different languages.
Both successful authors, Jean-Francois Vernay and Nicolas Fargues share the same passion for writing and travelling.
The ALLIANCE FRANCAISE D'ADELAIDE and THE UNIVERSITY OF ADELAIDE welcome both authors to Adelaide.
